What is an environmentally friendlier product?
An environmentally friendlier product has been identified as having less impact on the environment than other products that fulfill the same need. This does not make it "environmentally friendly" but is generally considered to be a green alternative.
A good example is a rechargeable battery which can be used over and over again. It uses less energy to recharge than purchasing another battery which would need to be produced and because it is not disposed of as often, reduces the amount going into land fill.
Please note:
Most batteries contain one or more substances that can be hazardous or reactive when released into the environment, so by not using batteries at all is much better for the environment!
